The Creed of Strength
The Northern Warriors (Guerreiros do Norte) are born fighters, gifted with a vigor and a passion beyond measure, who settle everything with raw strength. They are one of the Three Forces that contest the valleys of Vashrath, and at their head stands Heidr, one of the Three Greats — a spiritual leader whom, they say, no one has ever truly seen.
The Legend of Heidr
Every northerner tells the same story: Heidr once defeated an entire legion alone. He climbed to the top of a mountain and faced the enemy hordes without retreating a single step. Whether it happened exactly that way matters little now. The mountain and the warrior who does not retreat became the symbol of the creed itself — brute force made virtue.
A Creed, Not a Kingdom
The North is not a realm with drawn borders. It is a creed that cuts across cities, kings, and trades. A soldier from any city, a merchant, a freshly awakened stranger — any of them may swear themselves to the North without ever changing their address. It is belief, not territory. In the valleys, that faith belongs to those who face the world head-on and trust in a courage that knows no retreat.
Without a declared creed, life in Cripta becomes much harder. The North is the choice of those who prefer steel to the wall, and the charge to the plan.
Faces of the North
Many mercenaries of the valleys carry the blood or the fame of the North. The chronicles speak of figures born among the Northern Warriors who today choose their own battles — proof that a northern origin marks a reputation even far from any banner. And in Vashrath, every face may hide another: what someone swears in public, what they truly believe, and what they keep hidden are not always the same thing. A northern oath spoken aloud does not always reveal where the heart lies.
The Oath
The North is one of the three creeds the awakened may swear in the Faction Oath, shortly after registering with Cassius. It is no formality: it is the faith that opens — or closes — doors throughout the valleys, and it decides at whose side you will walk for the rest of your journey. Those who swear the North align themselves with the creed of strength.
Rivals
The North stands against the People of the South, who trust intelligence and the wall that never falls, and against the Wanderers, who trust shadow and speed. It is whispered that Serena, leader of the Wanderers, once defeated the other two Greats in battle — Heidr among them. The North calls it a fireside tale, and a tale it remains: nothing has ever been confirmed.
As for banners and crests, the legend keeps only one image: the lone warrior on the mountaintop, standing against a legion. No formal heraldry of the North has ever been established — perhaps because a creed that lives in the arm that swings the axe has never needed one.
